Punahou Pumas ’08-’09

Welcome wrestlers, parents, family and friends!  We are excited to start our 2008-2009 Punahou Puma wrestling season.  The Punahou Puma program was started in 1998 under the direction of Jack Belli, and is dedicated to educating young minds about the sport of wrestling in a supportive and fun environment.  Though we are a wrestling team our main goal is to prepare students for life.  We accomplish this by integrating Punahou’s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Humility and Honesty into our team practices and coaching methods.       

Practices:         Our practice times are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the Punahou wrestling room located directly above the Punahou Athletic Office and across the hall from the racquetball courts. 

Equipment:      Wrestling shoes or barefoot, athletic shorts and t-shirts that can be tucked in.  Headgear is recommended but not required.

Parents Night: On December 2, from 4:00pm-5:00pm we will be holding our very first Punahou Puma parents night.  It will be in Thurston classroom located in the same hallway as the wrestling room directly on the left hand side of the double doors.  It will be a time to go over finer details about the program, our sport, tournament schedules, and a chance to get to know each other.  Feel free to bring family and friends.
