The Clash – Day 1

This is an absolutely first-class tournament. We’re so impressed with how well everything runs and how well the coaches and teams are treated. The venue is fantastic and, of course, the competition is top notch.
The Clash | 10 of top 40 teams in nation are entered
We didn’t wrestle particularly well today, going 0-3. We weren’t so much disappointed in the losses since most were against better teams (though it’s never fun being on the losing end of a dual meet). Rather, we looked pretty sluggish throughout all our matches and just didn’t have the same sharpness we did last week @ the Iolani Duals.
Adding to our challenge, our 130 pounder was not cleared to wrestle due to what was diagnosed here (and mis-diagnosed in Hawaii) as herpes zoster. Good news is that he’ll be cleared by next week. Bad news, of course, is he misses The Clash and we forfeit 130.
