The 2007 -2008 season was a great one for us in so many ways. One of the more gratifying accomplishments was that our wrestlers earned All-American honors an incredible 14 times.

In March, several of our wrestlers traveled to Kansas City, MO to compete in the Brute-Addidas National Championships. Seven wrestlers medaled, including Bryson Fukushima who, after missing the state tournament this year, won Punahou’s first boys national championship.

Later in the spring, the National High School Coaches Association selected five of our wrestlers as 2008 Academic All-Americans, including freshman state champion, Chrissy Chow.

Finally, this past July, incoming junior Sani Fuimaono (285) placed third and graduating senior Daniel Chow placed 8th at the USA Wrestling Junior National Tournament in Fargo, ND.

Congratulations to all of our All-Americans!
